Debride Ointment

Debride Ointment

Debride is a medicated ointment that promotes prompt and complete healing of ulcers, mouth rot, fin rot, and tail rot, all symptoms of Aeromonas and Pseudomonas.
Koi Care Kennel conducted extensive field trials on Debride in 2001.

They sent samples of Debride to over 100 hobbyists and dealers who had requested these samples and who had sick fish. The user's evaluation came back at a 90% success rate.

Debride is safe to apply to the fish's mouth and will not harm the gills. Debride contains Corticosteroide and topical anesthetic in a butylester copolymer Petroleum distillate carrier. Each tube contains 12 grams which will allow approximately 20 applications.

Koi & Pond Tip of the Day
July 6th, 2008
For many of us, our ponds are beginning to warm (or will soon be). Water temperature, not the ambient air temperature, is the gauge for what to do and when to do it in regards to your pond. Water temperature should be checked at approximately 1 foot of depth. Avoid feeding your fish until the water temperature is consistently above 50 degrees Fahrenheit. This will also be the time to start adding spring maintenance bacteria and enzyme treatments.
